Database Services
Current technologies supported by Lucet Corporation include Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and mySQL. We provide initial business analysis to determine the best technologies that will fit the client’s requirements, infrastructure, and udget. We also provide guidance on sizing for any environment to help the client choose the right level of technology investment (purchasing too much hardware and licenses presents as many problems as not purchasing enough). Once the technology choices are made, Lucet provides DBAs to design, configure, performance tweak, and monitor the new solution. As with all services, Lucet provides documentation and training for incumbent staff.

Software Services
Lucet offers concept to deployment experts in .Net development as well as web technologies (such as Java, PHP, J2EE, and web servers (e.g. IIS and Apache)). We work with our client from the early phases of determining the technology needs and the functionality desired and we will provide guidance on how to deliver a product without entering a perpetual scope creep due to unfocused feature requests. Most importantly, Lucet provides quality testing and assurance to verify that the delivered solution meets your requirements.

Assessment Services
We provide an initial assessment of the current environment with a focus on the end-state and meeting business needs. Tasks include:
• Discovery of current environments (network, NOS, data, and application)
• Evaluation of current environment and feasibility of various solutions
• Documentation of environment and requirements
• Compliance and requirements analysis

Architecture Services
We are experts in infrastructure transformation, consolidation, and decentralization initiatives. As such we provide the following:
• Best practice, standards based designs which are also in line with real-world implementations
• Complete architecture solutions that address environment consolidation goals (e.g. for organizations engaged in merger/acquisition activities)
• Complete architecture solutions for organizations looking to decentralize or break up their IT organization (e.g. divestiture activities)

Project & Program Planning Services
Successful infrastructure transformations require careful planning and goal setting. We provide a roadmap with clear timelines and quantifiable results against which to measure progress. Services include:
• Solution proposals, communication, and iterative design updates.
• Collaboration between stakeholders to arrive at a consensus that meets the needs and directives of the

• Standards based project management (guidelines are ITIL and PMI)
• Creation of a communication plan and knowledge repository. Our preference is using SharePoint as
repository though we can work with any similar workflow/communication solution. We have
our own SharePoint 2007 environment to capture the project deliverables.

Implementation and Knowledge Transfer Offerings
Implementation Services
We implement the approved, agreed upon, and planned solution. Services include:
• Execution of the approved Project Plan. We are also frequently contacted by organizations to execute and complete projects that are stalled due to resource constraints or knowledge gaps in the current resource pool. In such cases we help re-baseline the project and execute on approved, realistic timelines.
• Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives. We can create POC environments for validation and testing of new solutions. If that is all the client requires we can do this and hand over the findings for the initiative to incumbent staff.
• Optionally, we provide validation testing in the POC environment prior to implementation in the production infrastructure
• Production implementation and cutover activities such as: site preparation, system configuration, and capacity planning

Monitoring & Reporting Services
Along with our Implementation services we provide the following:
• Design and implementation of a monitoring solution to check on the status of the initiatives and deliverables of the project/program
• Provide regular reports on the progress of the initiatives as well as ad-hoc reporting to meet custom requests
• We will integrate our reports with existing monitoring solutions or create a new reporting environment depending on the state of the client’s environment.
• Customer validation and sign off (including post-installation review)

Training & Knowledge Transfer Services
It is our philosophy to provide a complete hand over package to allow incumbent staff to support the various delivered initiatives. This is encompassed by the following:
• Full design document turn over
• Product training and KT for incumbent staff
• Hands on and hand over training for implemented solutions; including creation of
operation guides.
• We also have experience writing and providing duties based training services
